Ethical & budget considerations
If you were a high performance car then you'd want the best fuel for the car, you'd want to know that the systems were working well and working together and you'd expect to need to perform maintenance. You may even perform a car diagnostic test.
The environment acts upon the car and there are blockages like traffic jams and road bumps along the way, you want the resilience to get past these and perform at your highest level.
The health & hart approach to nutrition is to use the Functional Medicine Model. That means working to balance the underlying systems.
An imbalance in one or more systems may be experienced as sub-optimal health. The way this is expressed can depend upon your physiology, life experiences and current habits. It could be a minor niggle or a major health problem that's affecting your performance.
Alternatively, you may already be perfoming well and wondering how much better you could be if you were able to release more potential.
Peak Performance - An analogy
health & hart Programme Cycle
This is an example of the typical process.
Initial investigation comprising a health questionnaire and discussion to build a picture of which body systems may need some additional support (INPUT).
This is accompanied by discussion about your goals and what you're aiming for with your health and/or perfomance.
Recommendations will be made for nutrition (food, drink, optional laboratory tests and supplements) and resilience techniques if desired (OUTPUT).
The process can be iterative, with fine tuning at subsequent consultations for new or complex goals or at different stages in your life.
